Job Description:
Our company is seeking an experienced, proactive, and solutions-focused Sr. Principal, Counsel to join the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) sector.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Counsel of the sector, this role operates as a legal specialist and business partner in providing strategic, proactive, and practical legal counsel and guidance to sector management and staff on general and specialized legal matters.
Essential Functions:
Advises, counsels, and functions as a trusted business partner on legal and other matters related to the business objectives of the sector
Provides legal guidance and counseling on risk mitigation strategies, contract interpretation and provisions, dispute resolution, and other legal issues
Negotiates, researches, drafts, revises, and / or analyzes agreements, contracts, memoranda, legal correspondence, and other legal documents
Experience in aircraft purchasing, strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills are required.
Personal commitment to ethics and compliance, and experience working in an environment with high ethical standards.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
13 years of extensive experience managing contracts, aircraft purchasing agreements, and complex maintenance repair and overhaul agreements.
Must have a Doctorate (JD) degree and an active state license to practice law.
